Description
The gym of the Markos Karanastasis Sports Center covers an area of 500 square meters, arranged on two levels, and is equipped with modern fitness machines and training equipment.
The annual operating period of the gym is from September 1st to June 30th of each academic year.
The gym operates daily Monday – Friday, 12:00 – 23:00.
External members may register provided they have reached the age of 14 and submit a guardian’s declaration.
The application is completed exclusively online via the following address (link).
Online registration for university members is completed using their academic account credentials, while external members may register using their TaxisNet credentials.
The required documents at the time of registration are the following:

- Digital facial photograph.
The digital photograph is required only for first-time registration or if the member wishes to replace the existing photo. - Health Card
The Health Card must bear the physician’s stamp over the photograph. The card must be certified by an HMU physician, a public healthcare physician (hospitals, health centers), or a private physician (general practitioner, internist, or cardiologist).
For active athletes, the Health Card may be replaced by a valid athletic license, provided it remains valid for the entire operating period of the gym (until June 30th of each year). - Proof of payment of the annual subscription
Payment of the annual subscription is completed through the EADIP-HMU e-shop (https://eshop.eadip.hmu.gr) under the menu Services/Gym, according to the member’s status (student, administrative staff, academic staff, etc.). - Guardian’s declaration (for the registration of underage members)
- Digital facial photograph.
After completion of the online registration process and verification of the application’s completeness, you will be notified by email regarding the procedure for receiving your digital membership card.
Upon entry, members are required to present their digital membership card along with their student or national ID to the gym instructors.
A mandatory requirement for gym entry is the use of a personal towel.
